Detroit ? City

NOTE: I edited this post because my best friend OBW said I was being "mean." Dick Cheney is mean. I am not.

Dear Detroiters:

Your city is in trouble!

I’m not going to lie. And it’s a shame because there are so many wonderful things to do in the city and beyond, but unfortunately, no one is hearing about that because of all the fucked up things that are going on here!

Here are a few things that are wrong with Detroit:

• One dysfunctional City Council led by Monica Conyers, who I can’t decide is bipolar, or just plain evil and greedy.
• A mayor, Ken Cockrel, who is becoming increasingly egomaniacal, just like his predecessor, Kwame Kilpatrick.
• A police force that tries hard, but really can’t modernize because of the archaic like equipment and headquarters that members are forced to use.
• Schizophrenic weather: 40 degrees one day, 80 the next! How can you plan to do anything?
• A shitty football team. Face it, the Fords can’t run an auto company, nor can they run a football team.
• Lousy radio stations. The WRIF used to rule in the 80s and 90s, but has not regressed to well, a shell of its former self. Drew was the only smart one, and now he’s gone.


It’s great that the city has some believers, but I don’t think anything is going to change. And if you are a Detroiter banking on President Obama to help out, forget it. He's proved he hates Las Vegas, so what does he think about Detroit.
